Versapulse & Dye Laser Surgery

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU SEE RED

Dye and VersaPulse Lasers now make it possible to treat a wide variety of blood vessel (vascular) disorders ranging from red birthmarks like port wine stains and strawberry hemangiomas, spider veins ("broken capillaries", telangiectasia) on the face and neck, and bright red cherry angiomas on the trunk and extremities. Both the VersaPulse Laser and the Pulsed Dye Laser are available in-office for optimal and personalized treatment.

"It is very gratifying to be able to remove disfiguring birthmarks with Laser surgery" says Dr. Roberts. "I can now give parents hope when faced with a child born with a vascular birthmark." Dr. Roberts also treats many adults with these types of birthmarks for whom treatment was not available during their childhood years.

Enlarged blood vessels, also referred to as spider veins, broken veins or broken capillaries, respond very well to laser surgery. Children and adults frequently develop single or multiple spider veins on the face and trunk. Bright red, raised cherry angiomas are commonly seen in adults on the face, neck, trunk or extremities and are genetically determined. These cherry angiomas usually resolve after one or two treatments.

Many adults deal with a condition referred to as rosacea. Symptoms of rosacea include easy flushing or blushing, acne-like breakouts, a red or ruddy complexion, and spider veins on the face. Laser surgery can effectively treat both the persistent redness of the face as well as the spider veins.  SEO India SEO services India

Laser light energy is absorbed by the red color of blood vessels and converted to heat which seals the tiny blood vessels in the most superficial part of the skin. Immediately after VersaPulse laser surgery, the skin will look red. The redness usually disappears within a few hours. Immediately after treatment of birthmarks with the pulsed dye laser, the treated area will be discolored with bruising which fades slowly over 10-14 days.
